Beadin', Bloggin' and Braggin'

Well, not "braggin'", but, OK, maybe just a little bit.  We've finally completed our BeadAustin.com online store and we are quite proud of the results!  It's been a long few months and we are so thankful for all the help we have received along the way!  Most especially we are thankful to Jessica at couldbestudios.com, the fantastic photog Tyler Bailey, and our friend and consultant Marco at Aviary Decor.

Now onto what you really care about:  the beads.

We are always so delighted when we get in stones we have never seen before.  It is a cool reminder of how amazing our planet is, that it can produce such unique and colorful things that we like to adorn ourselves with.  The most recent example of this is Rainbow Calcite.

When we first unwrapped the strands we had to wonder if these beads were fake, their composition is so odd and striking.  Doing a little research, we discovered that these are indeed the real deal.  Our customers recognized them as well, and they've flown off the shelves.
We've had to order many more, and are expecting them any day now.  But don't just take our word for how awesome these stones are.  Check out Beyoncé in November's issue of In Style magazine.

Now, she is wearing some FIERCE jewelry here (provided by YSL and Stephen Dweck), but what caught my eye was her Rainbow Calcite bracelet.

Awesome!  There must be come kind of Rainbow Calcite fever in the air, because this stuff is hot.  Anyway, your faithful blogger promises to keep her eye out for even more lovely goodies on her upcoming bead-shopping trip to NYC!  It's our first time in the city, and we will keep you posted on all the excitement!
